Dubai Customs Welcome Customs Delegates From Japan, Belgium and China

Dubai Customs have met with delegates from Japan and Belgium to search possibilities of securing support to the foresaid counties seeking their presidency seats in World Customs Organization. The delegations have been welcomed by Dubai Customs Director General Mr. Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Mr. Yousif Al Sahlawi, Executive Director of Legislation and Policies Sector and Mr. Abass Makki, Director of International Relations.
The visiting delegates have expressed their will of establishing a ground of co-operation and collaboration with Dubai Customs and that shall be through effective enhancement of activities partnership with Dubai Customs and find a common ground of understanding with customs member administrations in the region. On the other hand, the delegates said they are seeking to meet with members in the WCO to discuss matters relevant to demands and priorities.
This initial visit, which may extend in its second tour to see other different Customs Administrations, stands to represent in turn the great role played by Dubai Customs acting as steering group in supporting International Organizations by its recognizable membership and commitments to WCO and WTO standards.
In other story, a Chinese delegate who wishing to secure presidency seat in WCO, led by Mme: Sangipo Customs Deputy Director was welcomed by Dubai Customs. During the visit the parties discussed ways of relationship enhancement between Emirates and China, Sangipo, has paid a visit to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Almaktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.
The visit is significantly underlines the great important interests for both parties where experience exchanges, enhancement of bilateral relationships advancement are expected in the forgeable future to be fruitful in various fields. The visiting delegate has been acknowledged with the development and advancement program carried out by the administration.
The parties during the visit have exchanged views and information relevant to customs fraudulences, counterfeits and piracy. The viewers have as well discussed the Client Accreditations Program within the framework of recognizable international standards as according to WCO Framework of Standards to enhance supply chain security.
