Tanmia, the National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority, has recently announced the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Dubai University, Sharjah University, Ajman University, and Zayed University to provide training and employment opportunities for the UAE National students and graduates of the four universities.
According to the terms of the MoU, Tanmia will work closely with the four universities to create a qualified and skilled pool of National human resource in the UAE. Each university will share with Tanmia, information and data relevant to National students enrolled with them, and will specifically provide information on students who are keen to find training and job opportunities.
Tanmia will recommend students from Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and Zayed Universities registered in its database, as jobseekers for employment and training opportunities available in the UAE, and will invite these students to attend various career fairs organised by Tanmia to showcase job opportunities in private and public sector organisations in the country. The universities on their part will utilise all available means to inform its students of such fairs and exhibitions.
“We are pleased to sign MoUs with four leading universities in the UAE that share our vision of maximising employment opportunities for UAE Nationals. We will make the best use of our resources to facilitate training of National students and make them well-prepared for successfully handling the requirements of today’s dynamic corporate environment," said Ahmad Al-Ahmadi, Manager, Tanmia Office in Dubai.
“UAE Nationals have proven their ability and skill in various demanding roles in the private and public sector, and a growing number of companies in the UAE are now taking measures to increase the number of Nationals in their workforce. By working together with these universities, we will be able to create a larger pool of qualified and trained UAE Nationals who are fully equipped to take up challenging responsibilities at the workplace," he added.
Tanmia will also provide the universities with career guidance information and materials to raise students’ awareness about recent developments in the UAE labour market and the requirements of the job market.
